5.4 million Australians contribute their communities by volunteering. That is 34% of the Australian adult population. The total annual hours volunteered was 713 million. Volunteers are a vital part of Australian communities.
 
With an increasingly diverse population it is important for organisation to ensure a culturally inclusive volunteering environment and to attract volunteers from CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) backgrounds at the same time. Both aspects are covered in this practical course.
